At this moment...

After months and months of agonizing about what to do with my Beetle I decided to buy a new car. The Beetle was the first car that I ever bought with my own money and I was quite attached to it. However, about nine months ago it started to die. I was told by the VW dealer that I would need some pretty expensive work done to fix the problem. So, after getting it through the summer, fall and almost all of winter, I went out today and bought a new car. I decided to stay away from Volkswagen. Instead I went with a Subaru Impreza. I like that I'm no longer driving a novelty clown car. It makes me feel just a bit more grown up. I'll post a photo tomorrow.
I'll miss my Beetle. Lots of good memories, like the time my brother and I went on a road trip to Banff, Canada in the summer of 2009. But I won't miss the stress of the last nine months wondering whether or not it would start.

The above is a game I play when I can't concentrate at work. I play it more than I should probably admit to. The game entails me suspending as many objects that I can from my overhead cabinet via a series of magnets.

This was eaten for lunch last Friday and shot with the camera on my iPhone.

No, I haven't traveled anywhere this week. This was the wing I sat next to when I returned back to Illinois from California. I always take a photo of the wing when I fly. This too was shot with my iPhone.

Let's hope the cookie doesn't let me down...
If you have a free moment, I highly recommend seeing Coraline. It's quite stunning. And the 3-D is pretty damn amazing.

Things:
1. I liked not updating the site for the past week or so.
2. I've been out in California.
3. While in California I ran a marathon.
4. I'm still sore.
5. I also bought an iPhone while in California. It's pretty great.
6. Even though I have an iPhone, don't expect me to Twitter. Seriously, twittering is lame and no one needs to know my every move or thought.
7. I wish Wahoo's would open up in Illinois as they have the best fish tacos.
8. It's really cold, especially since I've been someplace warm for the past six days.
9. I wish Chris, Jackie and Acadia lived closer.
10. Ten is a nice number to end with.

Acadia.

Chris and Acadia.
