Happy New Year! While 2009 ended on a truly sad note, I still managed to have one of the best years ever. I met the most wonderful and joyful girl in the world and found love. I ran one marathon on the west coast with my brother and then ran another marathon on the east coast with the best girl in the world. We trained the entire summer along the lakefront. I discovered new places that I had never been to before this year and pushed myself in new ways. I drank lots of great beer and wine and rediscovered the joy of life. I finally taught myself how to develop film. I managed to find something that I was afraid of losing. I feel very blessed and whole. So yeah, 2009 was a pretty spectacular year and one worth remembering.

After two years I finally downloaded Aperture 2 to process my RAW image files. I still might use DPP every once in a while, but so far I really like Aperture 2. The below was a shot I took of the first roll of film that I ever developed. I processed the digital photo in Aperture 2 and then inverted it in Photoshop.
