You can't have a protest without homemade cookies...

Protestors rally on Michigan Ave. in Chicago to show their support for the removal of Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak.

Brown butter chocolate cookies take two... These are really awesome cookies.

Homemade blondies from America's Test Kitchen. I suppose I've been making excuses to practice my food photography.

Homemade waffles. A few nights back Sara and I couldn't figure out what to eat for dinner. Sara suggested waffles. These were really great and we had all the ingredients in the apartment.

A handful of food related photos.

Deconstructed chicken pot pie. This version of chicken pot pie is healthier than the standard version since it uses far less butter. It's a fairly involved recipe, but worth it.

Pork tenderloin and sweet potatoes with cayenne maple butter. This is a perfect meal for a weekday night and one of my favorite things to cook. Total time is less than 30 minutes from stove to plate. It's so easy but packed with lots of flavors from the rosemary, thyme and clove dry rub that encrusts the pork. The cayenne maple butter adds just the right amount of heat and sweet. Goes great with a nice Belgium style beer.

Homemade cardamom bread. I needed to prove that I could make this 100 percent on my own. Good stuff.

Browned butter chocolate chip cookies. These cookies might be the best chocolate chip cookies ever. The browned butter gives off a nutty and toffee flavor that is really delicious. What I like most is that the cookies aren't overly sweet.

So very lazy with specbebop.com.
More from the holy man recording sessions. The song is sounding pretty epic and huge. New video to follow soon.
